The GCC Growth Committee began meeting in May 2019 with the purpose of focusing on addressing challenges that may be holding back our growth as a spiritual community church body. We continue working on plans for a vital future for GCC; we have engaged the services of Convergence, who led a deep examination through focus groups, surveys and listening. A resulting report and committee recommendations were approved by Church Council, and we are actively implementing them.
Together we look for ways in which we can prepare for the future of our church, concentrating on:
- Starting new initiatives
- Meeting community needs
- Ensuring spiritual and financial sustainability
- Increasing communication
The work with Convergence continues with the aim of seeing initiatives to fruition, even in the challenging coronavirus environment. Throughout the Growth endeavor, which has no defined end date, we will prayerfully and humbly seek God’s direction. We will make way for the Holy Spirit as we lay a strong foundation for personal spiritual and congregational growth into this new decade.
