From Marty: The SOUPER BOWL of Caring is over with a satisfactory amount of $1,445.00. I wanted to thank everyone who pitched in with money and generous food supplies for our Help by Phone food pantries. Our church treasurer brought me the checks and those who wrote their checks to the church were converted to one combined check payable to CWS/CROP. All checks were sent off to Church World Service in Elkhart, Indiana, with the request to add that amount to GCC’s CROP WALK collection. Our special thanks to Greenbelt Elementary School’s students, teachers and parents for their generous food donations through the past three months. We hope to keep up our efforts to help hungry people in our neighborhoods and communities throughout the year.
