I am taking a moment, during my move-in to my new office, to express my heartfelt gratitude for being called as your next Pastor with such overwhelming favor!

I hope that I will see you this Sunday, if you are able to be here. We will share a Time with Young Disciples.
Our Lay Reader, Rick Ransom will be reading from Amos 8:4-7 about the central theme that God is weary of greed and will not tolerate injustice.
Our Gospel text is from Luke 16:1-13, where Jesus offers a parable about ethics in business dealings. Implicit in this parable is also a truth about when fear exceeds our faith. I will preach a sermon entitled, “You Can’t Pray A Lie”. This is actually a quote from Mark Twain, in the classic literature of Huckleberry Finn, illustrating a point when Huck makes a decision to follow his own heart, against the conventions of racism. It is quite fitting for our contemporary times.
The Choir, under the direction of Music Director, Dr. Wei-Der Huang, will offer the Anthem: “One Church, One Faith” by K. Getty; arranged by L. Shackley. And, of course, the congregation will sing hymns in joyous praise. Afterward, we will enjoy a social time of chatting and chewing.
Can’t wait to worship with you on our first Sunday, together!
