Come downstairs after service on Sundays and sign up your whole family to walk in the Hyattsville Area CROP Hunger Walk, set for May 1st at 1pm at the Linson Pool (5211 Campus Drive, College Park, MD 20740).
This is a community affair—ask your neighbors to join you and support the good things in the world! Pick up your Donation Envelope and start collecting online and through checks payable to CWS/CROP. Let everyone know you are collecting!! A good way to increase donations is to create a Facebook fundraiser. If you have a personal Facebook page, it’s easy to set up. Log on to your CROP Hunger Walk page, then click manage page. On the left you will see Create a Facebook fundraiser. Once you click on that, you will be walked through the rest of the set-up, and it will show up on your Facebook profile and your friends can make donations to our cause.
The Franklins Fundraiser is happening on Monday April 18th from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm in both the restaurant and store. Masks are optional. Weather permitting, they might have outside dining. There will be no delivery. When you place your order or make your purchase, let them know you are with the HYATTSVILLE CROP WALK. There will also be a celebration on Sunday June 12th in the afternoon here at GCC in the Social Hall.
The church also has an immediate need for a volunteer to help manage the promotion and registration for GCC’s participation in the CWS/CROP walk. After years and years of dedicated leadership, Marty Folk has more than earned a little time off (or a promotion). If you are willing to help out, please email Jeff and Laura Knutson.
Special Thanks to Marty Folk
