Each year during Lent our church participates in One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS), a special mission through the United Church of Christ. The theme for this year’s OGHS offering is “Let Love Flow” and will occur on March 21, 2021. To support this annual effort, donations can be mailed to the church office (1 Hillside Rd, Greenbelt MD 20770) in the next week or so with the designation “OGHS.” When you give generously through OGHS, you let love flow. You empower families and communities around the world to live healthier, safer, more hope-filled lives. And ultimately, you build a world that honors the interconnectedness of all God’s people.
In many ways, our world was not prepared for the weight of the COVID-19 pandemic. But because of your past generosity through OGHS, many communities were better prepared to meet the challenge. Through the projects that you supported in the past, more people were equipped for the crisis with improved sanitation; access to clean, safe water for handwashing; and were empowered to prevent the spread of disease among their family and neighbors.
