The Board of Missions has decided that Special Missions for September and October will be designated for Church World Service (CWS).  CWS was founded in 1946 and is a cooperative ministry of 37 Christian denominations with the stated mission goal of building a world where there is enough for all.  They provide sustainable self-help, development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance around the world.  CWS actively responds to disasters like Haiti and the aftermath of hurricanes and wildfires. Additionally, they are uniquely placed to help refugees worldwide who are fleeing from violence.  For more information about CWS we encourage you to spend some time on their website https://cwsglobal.org/

Donations to Special Missions can be made by check to the church office. Please include either CWS or Special Missions in the memo line of your check. Or give online and select “missions” from the drop-down menu.
